I would like to tell you our story. We fell into financial difficulty and we started to fall behind in our mortgage. We tried to work with the bank to get caught up, but they wouldn’t work with us. Then we contacted a law firm to help us get our mortgaged lower so that we would be able to stay in house. We paid them $1995 to represent us, but because we were doing everything via the phone or fax things got mixed up and we got nowhere.
By this time we where in foreclosure proceeding. We had to go to court for mediation trying to resolve thing with the bank, but again the bank would only work with us so far. During this time we had received a letter in the mail from Ken and his business partner Ed of Housesold Real Estate LLC. We called and spoke with Ken about what the process of a short sale was. He came to our house the Saturday after we had called him and he explained everything to us. We had no other option then to proceed with short sale with the way the economy is.
Ken and Ed had a couple of hurdles to deal with in the process and we had an IRS lien on our property. They were able to come to an agreement with the bank and the short sale was able to be finalized, with the bank willing to waive the defiancy amount and release the mortgage lien on the property.
In closing, if anyone is to find them self in the same situation that we were the best thing that you could do is hope to receive the same letter that we received and make the call to Ken and Ed. We will always be extremely greatful for all of the help that they gave to us and would always recommend them to whoever I came in contact with that was in the same situation.
